Collections

Organize saved articles into collections and keep reading lists manageable.

Collections keep selected Library records together in the NeuralScio desktop app. This guide covers the local workflow verified with a synthetic PDF in a disposable profile. Control names below use the English source labels; the app may show translated labels.

Create a collection

  1. Open the desktop Library and find the Collections sidebar.
  2. Select New Collection at the bottom of the sidebar.
  3. Enter a name and confirm.
  4. Check that the new collection appears in the sidebar.

Add a local PDF

  1. In All Articles, locate the local PDF record.
  2. Drag its Library row onto the target collection in the sidebar.
  3. Select the collection and confirm that the PDF appears there.

The verified workflow adds one collection membership while keeping one Library record.

Dragging the same local PDF onto the same collection again left one membership and one visible Library record. The membership remained after a normal close and relaunch with the same disposable profile.

Rename a collection

  1. Right-click the collection in the sidebar and select Edit.
  2. Change the Name field and confirm.
  3. Select the collection and verify that its existing PDF membership remains.

Remove a PDF from a collection

  1. Select the collection.
  2. Right-click the PDF row and choose Remove from current collection.
  3. Confirm that the row leaves the collection.
  4. Open All Articles and check that the PDF record is still there and opens in PDF Reader.

Removing membership leaves the Library record available. The synthetic PDF and the collection name also remained available after a normal app close and relaunch with the same disposable profile; the removed membership remained absent.

Delete a collection

  1. Select the collection in the sidebar.
  2. Choose Delete at the bottom of the Collections panel.
  3. Read the confirmation and confirm the deletion. The dialog states that the articles will not be deleted.
  4. Check that the collection disappears while the PDF remains in All Articles. Open the PDF to confirm it is still available.

In the verified synthetic workflow, the collection stayed deleted after a normal close and same-profile relaunch, and its local PDF remained in the Library and opened in PDF Reader.
