Search is one entry point into NeuralScio, not the whole product. The desktop value also comes from saved papers, your own PDFs, local library workflows, citation exploration, and reading — especially during Public Alpha.

Public Alpha note

Free Local Alpha does not include NeuralScio-managed hosted search or cloud AI credits. Provider availability may depend on cached content, user configuration, public APIs, or future managed cloud access. Cached and saved work remains the strongest local path.

  • use AI on top of the active research context

Practical Search Guidance

1. Use several providers when coverage matters more than speed. 2. Prefer open-access-heavy providers when you want fast PDF continuity. 3. Treat metadata-heavy providers as strong discovery inputs even when full text is restricted. 4. Save relevant results quickly so the offline and local-library workflow becomes available.

Offline Note

Provider search itself still needs the network. Offline continuity starts after you have already saved or cached the material.
